Gulf Coast Natural Sheep's Wool Sea Sponge

$22.00

Description

Our sheep’s wool sea sponges are hand-harvested from the Gulf of Mexico near Tarpon Springs, Florida. They’re soft when wet and hold plenty of water, making them lovely to use in the bath or shower. Add your favorite soap and they work up a generous lather. Because sea sponges are renewable and biodegradable, they’re a natural alternative to synthetic bath sponges.

Everyday Care:
  1. Before first use, rinse thoroughly with warm water and soap.
  2. After each use, rinse with fresh water and gently squeeze out the extra moisture.
  3. Let it air-dry completely in a well-ventilated spot.
Never wring or twist your sponge. A well cared for sponge usually lasts 1-3 years.
Deep Cleaning: every couple of months, or whenever it starts to look dingy.
  1. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda into 2 cups of warm water.
  2. Soak the sponge for 2 hours.
  3. Rinse with fresh water, squeeze out excess moisture, and let it air-dry.
Never use bleach or ammonia, they can weaken the natural fibers.
